As of 2024, the Giovanni Day turkey drive (in its sixth annual iteration), continues its mission to thrive and be able to assist Connecticut families in need during the Thanksgiving holidays. The initiative was created during my 25th birthday in 2019 when I decided to forego personal gifts and, instead, dedicate my birthday to giving back to those who need it the most. Since that moment, the inspiration has led to hundreds of families every year being able to celebrate and cherish traditional moments. The event has grown into a vital support system for thousands of families in Connecticut who may struggle to afford enough food for their Thanksgiving celebrations.
